"Hurricane Irene's flooding destroyed my 100 year old furnace. In a panic, I called friends for recommendations and left messages for numerous contractors asking for help.
Scott Basso was highly recommended. He called me the very next morning and arrived that afternoon to assess the damage. He returned 2 days later with 5 detailed proposals at different prices each of which he patiently explained to me. He and his brother arrived a few days after that to discuss the actual placement of the necessary pipes and baseboards. My packrat housekeeping didn't seem to faze them.
Steve Basso Plumbing, Heating & A/C agreed to start the extensive project in 2 days. But on the night before work was scheduled to begin, the city notified us that they would be paving the streets the next morning. When I called Scott his response was "no problem, we'll arrange to come very early before the paving begins." When the chimney needed to be lined, he called someone who magically appeared as soon as the rain stopped to climb on the roof and insert the liner.
Scott kept me informed of progress on a daily basis. Working around my brand new untrained rescue dog was again "no problem." I am very pleased with the wonderful furnace installation that Scott and crew completed quickly and efficiently under very trying circumstances. Never once did I hear that something couldn't be done. Instead, I received calm reassurances that all would be well.
Scott's patient demeanor and kindness extended to dealing with FEMA and explaining my unusual circumstances. At a time when other contractors didn't even return calls or follow through with proposals, Scott Basso was thorough (even a small piece of molding was reinserted) and made sure that all work passed city code inspection.
Basso's work is exceptional and I very much appreciated the time Scott took to explain everything in layman's terms to this plumbing novice. BRAVO!"

Steve Basso Plumbing has been servicing all my plumbing needs since they installed my boiler heating/hot water system back in 2009.
They always answere the phone and are there for you. They are polite and respectful and professional.
Even when called on late in the day they were at my house with in an hour or two.
They take the time to explain and answere any questions you may have.
They also are clean and neat and do a top notch job.
I'm very happy with all their work and highly recommend them.
